Our Approach

Vita Life Our Approach

Our services present with a similar structure and share common characteristics that are specific to our VitaLife-MD approach to medicine.

Each program starts with an initial 60-minute medical consult for the evaluation of your health issues and the discussion of your health objectives and treatment goals. A follow-up consult of 30/ 45 minutes will allow our physician to review your results in depth and to provide you with your own personalized treatment plan. Further follow-up visits will usually last 30 minutes. Longer consults can be provided on patient's request.

Each evaluation includes a comprehensive assessment of what Dr Read likes to recognize as the "five pillars of good health":

  • Nutrition
  • Exercise
  • Sleep
  • Stress management
  • Exposure to light / Respect of biological rhythms

Your genetic background and epigenetic factors (what can modify your genes) are evaluated for potential personal risk assessment.

Laboratory testing is adapted to each patient's needs and can include:

  • Comprehensive blood/urine tests for general overall health assessment
  • Hormone evaluation through blood and saliva
  • Full nutrients evaluation through blood and urine testing
  • Food allergy panel
  • Gastrointestinal functional testing
  • Heavy metals testing
  • And other specific functional medicine tests

Physical exam is performed as appropriately including full body composition measurements, skin and hair exam as needed.

Treatment plan

Your action plan starts with some recommendation that will help improve your lifestyle and with simple techniques for basic behavior change as needed.

For your treatment plan, Dr Fradin-Read will always try to offer as first line of therapy a natural and safe approach including supplements, vitamins, homeopathic and herbal medicines aiming at restoring an optimal body functioning and/ or able to address specific health issues.

Bioidentical hormone supplementation will be recommended when hormone therapy can be beneficial.

Dr Fradin-Read holds an MD license and has a long experience in internal medicine both in Europe and the US; she knows when a traditional Western medicine approach is necessary to treat her patients; in these cases the use of medications will be recommended temporarily or on the long run if needed.

Other complementary / alternative medicine techniques such as acupuncture, osteopathy, hypnosis, and physical therapy will be recommended for certain conditions.
